Nation will support government against US sanctions

TEHRAN (Defapress)-Today, an irresponsible and disloyal individual is threatening to sanction Iran but he should know that the nation would support the government against US sanctions, Member of the Expediency Council (EC) Ali Akbar Velayati said in a local ceremony.

He noted that the American officials suppose that they can force Iran to surrender but the nation would surprise them.

The official referred to the strong national solidarity in the country and said that the current unity in the country is promising.

US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
