Russia to Continue Aiding Syria in Fight against Terrorism
TEHRAN (defapress)- Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the occasion of the New Year, the Kremlin press service informed.
The Russian leader stressed that "Russia will continue to express full support of the Syrian government and people in the fight against terrorists, in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial unity," TASS reported.
Putin also wished the Syrian citizens the soonest return to peaceful and prosperous life.
