Russian Jets Cover Syria’s Airspace after Reports on Presence of US Spy Planes near Coast

TEHRAN (Defapress) Seven US spy planes were spotted flying along the Syrian coast, with some of the aircraft approaching the Russia-run Humeimim Military Airport in the Southwestern part of Lattakia province, the AMN reported.

The Russian jets have been routinely flying along the coast since the US President Donald Trump’s threats, but they have recently increased the number of flights over the last 12 hours.

Russian jets have also been cited in several places across Syria, including the Homs, Deir Ezzur, Hama and Idlib provinces.

The Russian Air Force deployed some jets to aid the Syrian Army soldiers who have been facing ISIL terrorists' heavy offensive in Southeastern Homs.
