ISIL Fails to Prevail over Syrian Army Positions in Homs DesertTEHRAN (Defapress)- The army units engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL near Aweiraz Dam in the Eastern Badiyeh and managed to repel the terrorists' attack after the warplanes pounded ISIL's movements near the Dam.

The fighter jets further bombed heavily ISIL's positions in T2 Oil Pumping Station in Southwestern Deir Ezzur and South of al-Bardah region near the border with Deir Ezzur.

ISIL suffered heavy casualties and its military hardware sustained major damage in the failed attack.

The ISIL later pulled the remaining pockets of its gunmen back from the battlefield.
On Sunday, the army forces engaged in a tough battle with ISIL Southeast of al-Bardeh region in the Eastern Badiyeh of Homs.

In the meantime, the army aircraft pounded ISIL's positions and movements in al-Bardeh and also near the T2 Oil Pumping Station and Aweiraz Dam, damaging the terrorists' bases and military equipment.
ISIL suffered heavy casualties and pulled back the remaining pockets of its militants from the battlefield.
