Indonesia officially joined the BRICS

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Russia Today, Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, announced that Indonesia has become one of the main partners of BRICS, from the members of APEC countries, and in this context, a set of agreements between the two sides in the fields of trade, investment, energy, artificial intelligence, and climate change have been agreed.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia announced by publishing a statement that this country has already submitted an official request to join BRICS.

The 16th summit of the "BRICS" was held this year in the city of Kazan, Russia, for 3 days until October 24.

According to Russian media reports, 36 countries participated in this summit, including 22 countries at the presidential level and heads of 6 international organizations.
