The American ceasefire proposal is unacceptable

Based on this, Berri confirmed the receipt of the initial draft of the American plan to end the Zionist regime's aggression in Lebanon and said: However, the provisions of this peace plan are not compatible with Lebanon's positions and are unacceptable.

Referring to the provisions of this peace plan, he said: This plan includes the formation of a committee to monitor the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. This means that Hezbollah must be disarmed and the fighters must retreat from the borders of the occupied territories to the back of the Litani River.

Nabih Berri emphasized that this mechanism is objectionable, but now the talks are going on in a positive atmosphere.

At the end of the reports published in the media, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament rejected the proposal to deploy NATO troops or other groups in Lebanon, or any freedom of action for the Zionist army in Lebanon.
