Ayatollah Sistani calls for solidarity amid ongoing conflict in Lebanon

TEHRAN (Defapress) - In a recent statement, Ayatollah Sistani expressed deep concern for the Lebanese people who are currently enduring escalating violence due to reported Israeli aggression. He highlighted the brutal tactics employed, including the destruction of communication devices and deliberate attacks on homes filled with civilians, notably women and children. 

The statement pointed to the extensive looting affecting numerous villages and towns in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region, emphasizing the tragic loss of life and injuries among both resistance fighters and innocent civilians. 

Ayatollah Sistani extended heartfelt condolences to those suffering, offering prayers for divine protection and support. The authority urged community members and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of the affected population and to provide necessary humanitarian assistance.

In conclusion, the statement called for collective efforts to halt the ongoing violence and restore peace, expressing a desire for the safety and well-being of all Lebanese citizens.
