Hezbollah confirms the martyrdom of Shaykh Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine

TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to the war media of the Lebanese Resistance Movement, Lebanon's Hezbollah announced in its statement that the head of the executive council of this movement, Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine, was martyred in an attack by the Zionist regime in Beirut.

"We offer our condolences to the nation of martyrs and mujahids, the nation of resistance and victory, the martyrdom of the great leader and great martyr of the Quds Path, the head of the executive council of Hezbollah, Shaykh Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine.

Shaykh Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine was considered one of the relatives of Martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and an influential person in this group's leadership structure.

The main task of Shaykh Saffieddine was to supervise the political, social, and economic activities of Hezbollah in Lebanon, which position gave him a key role in managing the internal affairs of Hezbollah and directing the activities of this group inside Lebanon.

Martyr Saffieddine was known as one of the important and strategic people in Hezbollah, and some people mentioned him as one of the possible successors of Martyr Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.
